Caryn Garton graduated from Notre Dame Law School in May of 2017 after receiving her bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Theater, as well as a minor in Spanish, from Saint Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana. In May of 2015, after her first year of law school, Caryn began working at Leonard, Hammond, Thoma & Terrill part-time as a Summer Intern. During that time, Caryn also worked part-time as an investigator for the Allen County Public Defender's Office. Caryn was hired full-time as a Summer Intern in May of 2016, during which time, she collobrated with the attorneys in the office on various cases, ranging from a sitting with counsel on a Murder case that ultimately resulted in a dismissal to helping invalidate a local speeding ordinace. Upon returning to her last year of law school in August of 2016, Caryn continued her work for the firm remotely, helping to author dozen of criminal and family law appeals. Caryn was hired on as an Attorney for Leonard, Hammond, Thoma & Terrill after passing the Indiana Bar Examination in October of 2017. In addition to her private practice, Caryn has also been a Misdemeanor Deputy Public Defender in Allen County since January of 2018.
