Mark Thoma

After graduating from Indiana University's Law School (Bloomington) in 1983, Mark began his legal career as a Law Clerk with the Allen Superior Court, clerking for the former mayor of Fort Wayne, Robert Meyers, a distinguished jurist. Mark then entered private practice with the firm Peters & Terrill where he quickly carved a name for himself with a number of favorable and significant trial court and appellate court victories. In 1987, Mark joined the law firm now known as Leonard, Hammond, Thoma and Terrill where he has been a partner for over 20 years. With a thriving practice focusing on criminal and family law, Mark has been involved in any number of high profile cases, including death penalty cases, many reported criminal matters, as well as a wide variety of family law cases of all kinds. Mark's name is linked to literally hundreds and hundreds of appellate cases in both practice areas.
Mark's focus continues to be a "people practice," helping folks from all walks of life manuever through our legal system. It continues to be his passion as it has been for the last 35 years and more.
